METRO LEAGUES for SENIORS and JUNIORS

The Melbourne Metro League’s competition for seniors at Fawkner Park South Yarra commences on the first Sunday of May annually.  The Metro League for juniors commences on the third Sunday of May annually.

The senior league is a Fastpitch competition catering for female players of all skill, ability and competitive levels, and all ages (from 12 years to adult).

The junior league is a Fastpitch mixed gender competition catering for girls and boys aged 9-14 years and for all levels of skill, ability and fitness.

Games are played each Sunday except for the Queens Birthday weekend in June.  The competition finishes with finals being played over three consecutive Sundays, climaxing with the Grand Final for each division being held on the third Sunday of September.  A detailed fixture will be published in the last week of April.

The scheduled times for the games are:

Senior League - A, A Reserve, B Divisions - GAME TIMES 1.00pm or 3.00pm - with the occasional double header

Junior League – GAME TIMES 11.00am

Training:-  Teams usually have a training session each Sunday and this session commences between sixty and ninety minutes before the scheduled game time.  Actual times are determined by each team coach.  Mid week training is rarely held due to the lack of facilities with lighting.

Fawkner Park Pandas

Melbourne Softball is committed to providing an opportunity for any individual or group to enjoy the varied experiences of our sport. We provide the opportunity for young girls and boys aged 9-14 years old of our softball community to participate in activities that will improve not only their knowledge and skills of our sport, but their life skills. This opportunity is provided by our team, Fawkner Park Pandas participating in the Junior Metro League. Anyone and everyone can be involved and benefit if they wish to. New members always welcome.

Tired of sitting at home?  Want to play sport?  Want to have fun?

Then come to Fawkner Park for heaps of fun doing lots of activities!  There is no time for boredom.

Anyone can join in and have fun, so bring along a friend or two.

SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL

Teams or Individuals (who will be allocated to a team) are INVITED to join in at any time for some fun, friendships and fitness.  come 'n try - all welcome.

SOCIAL SLOWPITCH LEAGUE caters for mixed gender teams. Players of all skill, fitness and ability levels can participate provided they are over sixteen (16) years of age.

Games are played fortnightly on a Sunday morning from May to August.  Games commence with a warmup at 10.45am, followed by the game from 11.00am to 12.15pm.

Equipment is provided, however individuals can choose to use their own.  Further details...

CORPORATE SLOWPITCH LEAGUE caters for mixed gender teams. Players of all skill, fitness and ability levels can participate provided they are over sixteen (16) years of age.

Games are played on midweek twilight evenings, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from November to March with a short break over the festive season.  Games commence with a warmup at 6.30pm, followed by the game from 6.45pm to 8.00pm.

Equipment is provided, however individuals can choose to use their own.
